Netsafe is New Zealand’s independent, non-profit online safety organisation. Taking a technology-positive approach to the challenges digital technology presents, we work to help people in New Zealand take advantage of the opportunities available through technology by providing practical tools, support and advice for managing online challenges.

providing free support, advice and education seven days a week. We are driven by our vision and gear everything we do to achieving our purpose.
Porirua Living Without Violence offers various programmes and education designed to assist women, children and men make sense of their experiences. These are provided by trained women and men with an extensive knowledge and understanding of family violence issues.
The agency has approval of the Ministry of Justice, Oranga Tamariki and the Department of Corrections.
The programmes
Tamariki: A 10 week programme of individual, sibling and group sessions for children aged 5-14 yrs. An empowering and educational programme to assist children work through the impacts of being a witness or survivor of domestic violence.
Programmes for women which provide support, education and wellbeing which help women make wise choices and to increase the safety for themselves and their children.
Behaviour Change Programmes for women who are aware that the way they express their anger and use violence and abuse against others is harmful.
Behaviour Change Programmes for men that provide them with a structural understanding of men's violence, identifying the range of unaccepted violent behaviours and which teaches non-violent alternatives.
We hold printed forms and pamphlets on a wide range of topics including consumer rights, tenancy law, parenting after separation, and employment. We can also access and print off online government forms and other essential information.
Our volunteers are trained to help with filling in Immigration forms and getting answers to your questions. We have a range of information booklets in several languages.
We will help with letter-writing and phone calls.
We are an agent for St Anne’s Pantry food bank and can tell you about other food bank options.
JPs are available on weekdays from 12.30 to 3pm. You don’t need an appointment.
Trained budget advisers hold regular clinics at CAB. Call 237 8846 to make an appointment. Bring bank statements, loan agreements, bills, pay slips or Work and Income printout.
We have specially trained volunteers who can assist with questions about Work and Income benefits. Call 237 8846 to make an appointment.
There is no charge for printing online forms and information. Personal black and white photocopying is 10 cents a sheet.

Multi Systemic Therapy (MST) is a community-based programme that can help families/whānau manage a young person’s challenging behaviour.
Emerge Aotearoa offers flexible and mobile community based support for people who are living independently, but not necessarily alone, in their community.
At Emerge Aotearoa’s Flexible Disability Support Service, we work with young people to build a support network around the goals they want to achieve.
Emerge Aotearoa provides employment support services for people with mental illness or disabilities to help them transition back into the workplace.
Wish You Were Here is a community for young people living with grief and loss in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Run by bereaved young people, for bereaved young people - Wish You Were Here takes the form of social meet-ups, events and an online journal.

Shelley Cheyne is a local chiropractor who has written a book to help teens and pre-teens gain perspective on the challenges of the teenage years. It is also to give insight to parents on what their teens and pre-teens may be experiencing.
There are too many suicides in this region and it was written in response to that.
It is to start the conversations early and in doing so reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety so suicide is not an option.
